Euro 2012 Soccer

The site did a coverage of the Euro Soccer Championships 2012. It had covered the information such as News, Fixtures, Gallery, Bios etc. and no live match coverage except the third party Live Commentary module. Users could watch the random videos posted by editors but no action videos of any particular match.


Design Approach

I went about creating a design in dark theme because most matches were going to be played at night. It's a game played with aggression with fiery teams competing against each other under glowing flood lights. Plus I wanted to give it a bit of ragged look which is why the background behind the content is a tad rough surface.


Color Theory

Black relates to the concealed as a result it creates an air of mystery like the football games. It's a funny game where sometimes even a weak opponent could take on the stronger. You can not predict the definite result of the game until it is ended. Since the design approach was on dark theme it made all the more sense to use black color with yellow in contrast as highlights.

Innovation Jockeys 2 {Accenture}

The challenge was to come up with a design which attracts the innovative minds across campuses. Another challenge was to generate more sign ups and entries than the last year. I hadn't had much as a brief from the client apart from the fact that site must appeal to younger audiences.


Design Approach

I did a design based on the concept of Origami. It doesn't only fascinates the young people but all other age groups as well. Origami signifies sheer creativity.


Color Theory

Red color attracts attention and survey shows it is the color most frequently associated with proximity and extroverts. It also signifies dynamism and activity.

Blue is the color of deep sea and sky. In our concept the ideas will have no limit as sky or sea. It totally goes with the concept of the design. It also associates with harmony, faithfulness and confidence.

Luxury Boulevard

This is the store front for Fashion high-end brands such as Prada, Gucci, Tiffany etc. It will have multiple brands anywhere from 5-10 all in luxury categories who will buy content marketing theme at the same time. Each client will also have two content pages within the content marketing with each one of them having five articles each.

Each brand will have a window to display their product behind the glass which is also clickable. Clicking on which will take the user to the inside page to buy it.

The slider at the bottom of the page helps the user to navigate amongst the other brands. Depending upon the screen size the no. of brands window will be shown across the screen. For instance on the laptop view maximum of two brands will be shown so does the slider show the selection of two brands.


Design Approach

I designed the look and feel of a luxurious shopping street essentially for South-East-Asia market since the target audience is from Singapore. I had to make sure the design appeals to affluent people who undoubtedly shop from high-end brands such as Prada, Gucci etc.


Color Theory

Gold color signifies wealth, luxury, quality, prestige and sophistication. It also exemplifies value and elegance. As our target audience is affluent people the color gold too implies affluence and extravagance. That is the reason I used tints of gold along besides dark shades to indicate evening time.

Fast Flicks

This site is designed for a video content in Singapore. The videos especially made-for-web will be qualified for the contest. The panel of four Juries will shortlist the winners. It also features Fan Pick award which means the most favorite video by people's choice will win a prize.


Design Approach

The idea was to come up with a compelling design essentially promoting the video contest. I created concept through the logo elements that is bold diagonal lines for the page background. It eventually did justice to the design.


Color Theory

Indigo color is essentially resonates to the 'Mod-Age' way of thinking. It exemplifies sincerity and stimulates creativity. It also imparts the message of great onus and high deals.

Purple denotes the premium service in the business world. The creative minds connect it with sophistication and power.

Celebrity Awards 2014

In South-east-asia, these awards are huge as Oscar or Grammy awards in the US so the are client's expectations every year. The predominant feature is voting. The idea is to attract as many people as possible to vote for their favorite celebrities.


Design Approach

The challenge is to ever to create an interesting design element that portrays the nominees in each category which is based on branding elements. The concept of the event is to do with a music equalizer. I decided to show the closeups of nominees in music equalizer design element. Equalizer has vertical bars therefore logos of the radio shows etc. can be place well by rotating clock-wise.


Color Theory

Stardom is one of the creative fields thus color purple heightens people's reaction to more creative ideas. It is often used to denote a high quality to boot.


Result

The site did extremely well with double the sign ups in comparison to last year's as well as twice the no. of entries we received.

Content Management – Tumblr Theme

The idea was to create a professional theme for the clients which is highly customizable to boot. Clients could have any amount of content. Depending on which the layout should respond.


Design Approach

I came up with concept of tiles which could easily be managed based on the size of content. The main header would include a big picture along with a headline and description text which would give the users a sense of understanding what the site was all about. The description would be managed in a way that last word in a sentence would be in bigger font size as opposed to the rest.

If the client has a lot of content the grid will feature a four column layout or else three or two or even one depending on the size.

Clicking on any of the content sections would open up a popup displaying all the content besides social sharing and other features. Check out the screenshot below.

Ramadan 2014

The site was to be designed to cover all that you need to know during Ramadan. From the info such as Time to Maghrib to all other information like Zakat Calculator, Articles, Galleries etc.


Design Approach

I created a concept of mosque to depict the charm of the festival. Plus nice harmonious pattern that blends into the background image.


Color Theory

Green is the color of balance and harmony. From the color psychology point of view it is great balancer of the heart and the emotions. Green is an emotionally positive color giving us the ability to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally.

White is the calming as it creates simplicity and efficiency out of chaos. It denotes pureness to boot.

Fashion Week {Lakme}

This site was designed to promote the summer/ resort fashion week. It would serve the sections such as Live Fashion week, get the look tips. Also, users on the site would have an opportunity to win cool prizes. It also provided full schedule of four days of the fashion show.


Design Approach

Nice tiled information displayed with big stunning pictures of the models and event made complete sense. As pictures attract users to click to gain more information.


Color Theory

Black and white contrast did justice to the site design. Black is the color for fashion whereas white provides absolutely contrast and negative space on website that makes it look clean, open and uncluttered.
